Abundance

For a time, I dreamed of ditching my humble home and moving to a large, luxury home. In this vision, I had so much SPACE to store things. I visualized all of the things I could purchase once I moved into my amazing home, because there would be space for it all.  In this home, my future children would have plenty of room for their toys, my parents could move in, and I would always have plenty of space for guests. I began to look at my current home not as my sanctuary, but a throw away residence.  I have never kept my home perfectly clean, and much of that underlying attitude was from the disdain I held in my heart, longing for enough money to move up in the world. God wants me to have the best, right? A life abundant?

Something is lost in the translation of the abundance message. God doesn't want me to move into a bigger house to show His blessings on Earth. He wants me to move into a bigger appreciation for life, making my perceptions and experiences a testimony.  My home on Odeum Lane is a treasure.
